Eileen joined the firm as bookkeeper after 12 years of managing a homemaker/companion business. Working with our older population and their families for about 20 years, she has found Allaire Elder Law a good fit for her business skills and interest in home care. For nine years as a volunteer board member with the Association of Connecticut Homecare Agencies, Eileen worked countless hours advocating on behalf of the state’s home care agencies and the families they serve. She and fellow board members attended meetings with state elected officials, department commissioners and the national congressional delegation educating them about the importance of the home care industry.
A graduate of Marist College, Eileen previously worked as a newspaper reporter and editor. When not working, Eileen and her husband, Mike, serve the Bristol community as volunteers, especially the boards and committees of the Bristol Hospital. In 2017, Eileen was presented with the Bristol Boys and Girls Club’s PLUS Award, recognizing her for years of volunteering in greater Bristol.
Eileen is a sports fan, especially the Red Sox and UConn women’s and men’s basketball. Now that her sons, Thomas and Steven, are grown, she has more time to devote to the sport she plays – golf. In addition to golf, Eileen and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends, more recently at their West Hill Lake cottage in Barkhamsted, CT. They make their home in Bristol, where they were both raised and Mike has his accounting firm, Adams Samartino & Co. CPAs.
