Attorney Colleen Entenman has been interested in estate planning and elder law since seventh grade when her grandmother spent time in a nursing home. She has a JD, magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law with concentration honors in Tax Law, Civil Advocacy & Dispute Resolution, and Family Law. She received the school’s distinguished academic achievement award for her work in Elder Law.

In addition to her law degree, Colleen has a BA in economics from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Michigan where she focused on finance and strategy. She had an extensive corporate career prior to law school.

Colleen joined Allaire Elder Law from Quinnipiac University School of Law where she was chief development officer and a member of the Dean’s Administrative Leadership Team. She lectures annually at the law school on charitable gift planning, and volunteers in the law school’s probate law practicum program. Colleen’s pro bono work includes successfully representing a young client in their asylum petition to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Colleen is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and Charitable Gift Planners of Connecticut where she was elected president for 2025.
